Family Fun this Easter at the Gatehouse!

Looking for something to keep the family entertained over the holidays? The Gatehouse has not one, but two family shows coming to us over the Easter weekends, featuring a snail, a whale and a very cheeky fox!

From the creators of the Gruffalo and Room on a Broom and adapted from the much loved book by Julia Donaldson, The Snail and the Whale tells the story of a tiny snail who longs to see the world, so she hitches a lift on the tail of a humpback whale. Together they go on an amazing journey, experiencing sharks and penguins, icebergs and volcanoes. But when the whale gets beached, how will the tiny snail save him?

Tall Stories’ adaptation is inspired by the work of Storybook Soldiers, who help British military personnel abroad to record bedtime story CDs for their children back home. The amazing journey of the tiny snail is seen through the eyes of a very adventurous young girl – who’d love to be going round the world with her seafaring father...

Featuring storytelling, live music and lots of laughs, this is a show for everyone aged 4 and up.

For small and big kids and celebrating over 50 years in showbiz Britain’s most loveable fox, the one and only Basil Brush, is bringing his latest show ‘The Full on Fox Tour 2015’ to the Gatehouse. Along with his TV chum Mr Stephen (aka Chris Pizzey) Basil will take you on a journey of laughs, storytelling and song in a brand new specially written stage show packed with fun and excitement

Come and join in the mayhem this Easter, along with Mr Stephen who is continuously interrupted by naughty uncontrollable Basil! A show for all the family and children will also be able to meet Basil and Mr. Stephen after the show!
